Current Curriculum
Our Kids Ministry is beginning a new four-week Thanksgiving curriculum focused on thankfulness and gratitude. Over the next four weeks, children will explore what the Bible teaches us about being thankful to God and recognizing His goodness in our lives through Bible teaching, songs, videos, crafts, and activities. This series will lead us toward Thanksgiving weekend, giving us an opportunity to reflect together on all the ways God has been good to us.
To help families continue the conversation at home, You can use Make It Stick sheets, which are printed and available in the lobby for families to take home each week. These sheets include simple ideas and questions to help families talk about what the children are learning in Kids Ministry throughout the week.
At Northwest Langley Baptist Church we love kids and we desire to see them grow into wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ! We do this through providing a safe space for kids to build community with others their own age, and by walking through the Bible with them in age appropriate lessons.
1 Year –Grade 3
Our Kids Ministry meets every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m., at the same time as our main church service.
Children from 1 year old through Grade 3 gather together upstairs in the gym for a fun and engaging morning of learning, playing, worshipping, and growing together.
Our Sunday morning includes:
Free Play – We begin with some time to play, connect, and get settled.
Main Lesson & Skit – We explore a Bible story together through teaching and a fun, interactive skit.
Teaching Video & Songs – We continue learning through an engaging teaching video and songs.
Craft & Snack – Kids enjoy a hands-on craft and snack time together.
Free Play – We finish with more free play and time to connect until parents arrive for pickup.
We love having children of different ages learn and grow together in one welcoming community. Our activities are designed to be engaging and accessible for our youngest children while giving older kids opportunities to participate, help, and grow as leaders.
Grades 4–7
Children in Grades 4–7 are welcome to join us as Kids Ministry volunteers! This is a great opportunity for them to serve younger children, develop leadership skills, and be part of creating a fun and welcoming environment. If your child is interested in serving, please contact our Kids Director at forough@nwlb.ca.
Please Note that:
For families with younger children who prefer to stay in the nursery room, the nursery space is available for parent-supervised use. Please note that the nursery is not staffed, so a parent, guardian, or designated adult must remain with the child.
All children should be checked in at our registration and check-in booth in the lobby before heading upstairs.
