Gary Powell
Lead Pastor

Gary served as pastor in a variety of roles for 14 years in both Ontario and BC before joining Northwest Langley Baptist Church in October 2020. He has a Master of Arts in Christian Studies from Regent College. His deepest desire is to personally follow Jesus Christ with all his heart and lead others do the same!

Gary has been married to Jessica since 2003 and together they have three children—Mackenzie, Morgan, and Micah. He loves hanging out with his family, taking photos, drawing something that inspires him, having a good laugh, or just “walking-around, looking-around”—leisurely enjoying the world around him.

Conner King
Associate Pastor

Originally from California, Conner started his journey in ministry as a missionary in Cambodia. He and his team founded UofN Poipet, where Conner’s responsibilities were mainly launching and overseeing discipleship schools and outreach initiatives. After serving for seven years, Conner moved to Abbotsford, BC, in 2022 to pursue a Master of Arts in Biblical Leadership at Northwest Seminary, which led him to Northwest Langley Baptist, where he is excited to continue pursuing a life marked by an intimate, personal relationship with Jesus, and helping others do the same.

Conner had been married to his wife Lauren, who he met on the mission field, since 2019. In his downtime, Conner enjoys a good movie, a good laugh, adventures into the wilderness (preferably somewhere he can swim), camping, and working on his truck or anything that needs fixing.

Forough Mosayebi
Administrator and Children’s Ministry Director

Forough, originally from Iran, moved to Canada with a deep hope, which she found not only in her new country but also in her faith in Christ. She is the Administrator and Kids Ministry Director at Northwest Langley Baptist Church, where she combines her media background and passion for teaching children about Jesus. Starting in January 2025, Forough will pursue a Master of Arts in Biblical Leadership at Northwest Seminary to further grow in her faith and leadership abilities.

Forough is married to her husband, Davood, and they have three children: Dina, Dennis, and Dana. In her spare time, she enjoys watching Persian comedy movies with her family, cherishing their shared moments of laughter.

Kimberley Perkins
Preschool Director

Kimberley is the Director of our preschool ministry, Chipmunk Achievers Preschool. You can read more about Kimberley at this link (click here).

Brian Belyk
Facilities Manager

Brian was born and raised in South Surrey White Rock on a horse farm. He is an avid sportsperson, but especially enjoys ice hockey and snow skiing!

After graduating from BCIT he built two houses and renovated many, which is his passion along with designing and completing projects to the best of his ability. With his schooling and construction background, he opened and operated a successful flooring company in White Rock for over 20 years.

When he is not at the church or working his other job, you will find him walking on the beach at either Crescent Beach or white rock beach.
